► How does members credit work on runescape?

I am thinking about becoming member on runescape and i was wondering when i log into runescape it says 0. Days of member credit. And how does that work

POSSIBLE ANSWERS
1. You have to buy a month(5$),3 months(22$),half a year(i think 40$), or a year(60$)
i buy the 3 month ones at target so that i don't need to use my mom credit card. i think its easy. but where it says zero when you log in, say you got a month member ship ,well then it will say 30 days, instead of zero and it will count down each of the days until you have 0 again..
